Today, my boyfriend asked me out to dinner, which we never do. While at the restaurant he gets down on his knees, looks me in the eyes, and pulls out a little box. He opens it and inside is a note that says 'We're Done.' He then leaves me at the restaurant with the bill and the $2.00 box. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant with my boyfriend. After dessert, he went to the bathroom so I quickly called the waiter over and paid the bill, thinking it was a nice gesture. When he returned, he broke up with me for "emasculating" him. FML

I read all these FMLs and it never ceases to amaze me how people are so surprised that they got brutally dumped or their significant other did something incredibly insensitive. Question I have is how do these people not see it coming? What, was their significant other a saint up to that point and then magically transformed into an asshole. Read the begning of the FML, he "asked me out to dinner which we never do"... A HINT!!!!! Here's some free advice: sell that box at half price and then use the $1.00 to buy a clue.

Oh, you poor thing. I would like to say, dear, that no matter what wonderful things the two of you did, or the wonderful memories that you cherish, he is not worthy of any love you may have for him. ok first miss 'allymeme' don't be an idiot & assume the OP is ugly. pretty people get dumped too. & this sucks for the OP but i'm sorry it is kinda amusing. it's like that guy in the news atm he left a sign on the side of the road his girlfriend drove to work everyday first one said '[her name] will you marry me?' second 'nahh just kidding' third 'you've got 3 days to move out' or something along those lines. again .. harsh but entertaining lol

Obviously you deserve better Op. But is there a back story here? I think there is. At least he put thought into how he broke up with you. You could feel happy he spent that time to dump you... or not.
