The most attractive person in the world would look 'ugly' while crying. It's not like in movies when your eyes look all big and hurt and your face doesn't change colour and all you see are tears. No, in real life, no matter how pretty you are your face screws up. Your eyes swell up and go red. Your nose also goes red and sometimes starts running. So seriously, you could look like a supermodel and still have an unattractive cry face, it's just how we humans are. OP, your ex was just being a jerk about it and probably was just looking for a dumbass excuse to do it over the phone. Be glad you're rid of him.
