Maybe try talking him into getting a job so he can save money up from that to get a better loan for the ketchup thing? We both know it'll never happen but hey, whatever works.

they actually already make this. while the ketchup itself isn't carbonated, it's dispensed with co2 (plus it wouldn't hold the carbonation).

"Today, my wife still doesn't want to stay at home instead of this silly job thing" Versus "Today, my boyfriend doesn't want to be the perfect breadwinner" I'm going to go with he can pursue whatever job he wishes, as the only person he's under an obligation to provide for is himself. And this includes more than earning money, such as self-fulfillment. That said, don't lend him money.
