Today, my cell phone service was interrupted because I owed the company 27 cents. It cost 36 dollars to reinstate my service. FML

To reiterate a few other comments -- THE OP PAID THE DAMN BILL! It was probably a typo/account error/screw up on their part. My mom just got a bill for .02$ from the cable company, which is pretty dumb, because they lost money, because of paying the postage. I totally believe this story, big corps suck. Most are so strict about everything, even a few cents. FYL, OP.
