Today, my dad announced to the whole family that we will be having a vegetarian dinner this Christmas to make my step-mum happy. FML

My family tried doing that one time. But, I have a car, so when I went to eat a "salad" I ate fried chicken(:

I think what the op is trying to get across is not that vegetarian food is gross but the fact that their dad is making the whole family have a vegetarian meal instead of just the step-mom eating a vegetarian meal! I would cook my own meat and put it on my plate just to piss her off!

This is exactly why I have problems with vegetarians. Eat whatever you want but you have no right to force it on others. Also your dad is a tool.

What I don't get is I don't walk around acting like my shit don't stink because I eat meat. Who the hell cares what you eat? I don't. If you are a vegetarian, keep it to yourself because none of us care.

Okay i get it tjat you feel forced but dude its ONE DAY. You can deal with it its not like he's try to make you a vegitarian attempting to understand someone elses beleifs is a nice thing to do and if you try it for one day she will appreciate it

How can you have christmas without pigs in blankets :O

Tival cocktail sausages + either frys or morningstar 'bacon'. Seriously, there are full on fights in my house over who gets the last one...

Propose a more interesting alternative: Epicmealtime.

Go buy a pre cooked turkey for u and who ever else wants some everyone else has to accommodate other traditions like not saying merry Christmas she can accommodate u

My girlfriend is vegetarian and out of the three Thanksgiving dinners I had her fake turkey was the best. And it only takes a few minutes unlike a real turkey that takes all day to cook.

Boo hoo, you don't get to eat meat one day of the year. There's still plenty of delicious vegetarian stuff! I'm a vegetarian and for thanksgiving I ate everything my family made except the turkey. It was delicious :)
