I’m guessing that since this is an FML, that your mom is not the wine connoisseur type of wine lover. Given two bad choices, you need to do what is best for you ... your sanity, your health, and your general well-being. If your mom is an alcoholic, you are going to spend a lot of time baby sitting her or otherwise cleaning up her messes. I can’t emphasize this enough: take care of yourself, don’t let your parents take their drama out on you.
