Today, my ex-boyfriend dumped sand into the crankcase of my truck and then filled it to the top with water after I dumped him for being immature and not respecting my things. FML

Okay, first we had someone who ate their neighbor's garden strawberries and now this. Floridians just have strange ways of seeking revenge.

How did he remove the crankcase cover? Thats not like slashing tires or putting sugar in the gas tank. Someone would need the keys and a lot of time to accomplish what you are talking about.

You still have to pop the hood to open the oil cap. Who leaves their car unlocked anymore?

My 80 Camaro's hood unlatches from the outside

maybe the OP lives in a more rural area and doesn't lock the truck while they're sitting at home. I know where I live we don't even lock our cars out in town because we have nothing worth stealing in the car

Did anyone else notice this username and the irony here?

Yeah a lot of people out where my dad lives don't lock their cars, . We have a name for them...idiots. Its 2015 people, if you aren't locking your car then anything that happens to it is your fault.

No, 54. Is it yours? Don't touch it! Did you touch it and it's still not yours? She was wearing a slinky little dress that rode WAYYYY too high up on her thighs. That must mean she wants you to forcibly violate her and brutalize her, right? You deserve every bit of misfortune that comes to you. It's YOUR fault, not hers.

Sheesh. going to have to agree with 54 here. Sure, it's easy to leave stuff unlocked, but it isnt't exactly a hassle to do so unless you're lazy. That said, not blaming the OP. Could be a lot of ways to get at the engine depending on the age and condition of the truck. Ex is an ass.

#12, I agree that something had to be going on for OPS ex to do this, but it may not have been anything she did. As an example, I used to have an old Chevy truck that my boyfriend could unlock with his motorcycle key. He couldn't start it, because the truck was old enough to use 2 different keys for the locks and ignition, but being able to open the door would give access to the hood release. As for time to do it, how many times have you seen someone in their driveway or a parking lot with their hood up? maybe you ask if they need help maybe not but do you ever wonder whether or not it's their car? The Ex could have easily gotten away with the when OP was at work or in school with her truck in the lot.

All you need to do is use a screwdriver to slide the latch over. If the vehicle has an open grill, you can even remove the entire latch assembly with the hood closed.

Your only solution is sweet, sweet revenge. Ok, here's what you do. Drive over to his house and... Oh wait...

You shouldn't sand for this! Get it? Stand=Sand.... No? Ok.

I feel that your pun would have gone over much better if you didn't point out the obvious.

He just made sure you never think about getting back together. Wish you a rocking single life for now, OP.

What he was probably just trying to make a swimming pool!

A: How often do swimming pools have sand? B: How often do swimming pools have motor oil?

You did the right thing dumping him and he proved your point.

Can't you sue him or charge him for property damage or something?
