If you would have taught your kids that bringing the tree into the house and setting it up was part of the whole "cutting your own Christmas tree" experience, this wouldn't have happened. YDI for coddling your kids too much.
Wouldn't it be funny if the person who stole it got pissed when they realized that it's a real tree and not a fake? Hopefully they won't enjoy cleaning up the needles. BTW, don't use commas if you don't know how to use them.
That's just wrong on so many levels.
In the future you won't leave it on the footpath. That's just inviting people to come and take it off you, and they might just think it's your rubbish. Learn the lesson and move on.
