Today, my friend's 11 year old son accidentally shocked himself with our electric fly swatter. Thirty seconds later, while trying to prove to him that it's physically impossible to shock yourself with it, and that it's perfectly safe, I did the exact same thing. FML

Really? An electric fly swatter won't shock something if you hit it against anything? I guess its lucky your hands weren't wet.

Don't electric fly swatters have stickers on them, saying they can shock you? YDI

No shit it works, you moron. But if you think it hurts, you should probably grow up.

Electric fly squaters are actually pretty convenient. You just need to press the on button while hitting flies like a racquet ball, don't need to hit the fly agaisnt a surface (wall/floor/table) like traditional ones.

FYI: if you toss one of the large black ants on an electric fly swatter, they explode. Makes a little popping sound.

i remember smacking a spider quite hard with a traditional fly swatter. It still scuttled away. It took about 7 smacks before I rendered it a black grease spot on the floor. tough lil bastard

Because swatting flies is such tiresome work.

YDI. I really hate adults who don't believe kids.
