Today, my husband yelled at me for not doing any household chores. I can barely move my hand without suffering excruciating pain, due to recent surgery to ease my arthritis, and my other hand is as bad as ever. I can barely work this phone, let alone wash dishes and iron clothes. FML

What a douche. If he keeps doing this, I suggest living with a good friend or family for the remainder of the healing time, and sorting it out with him when you can easily argue and throw a good punch.

Or even better, find somewhere to stay and time how long it takes before he calls and needs your help. If you're doing all that work alone, it sounds like he's pretty dependent on you OP

Show it anyway

He can only treat you like that if you allow him, stand up for yourself.

Totally agree! Stop being a door mat and stand up to him! My husband of 23 years would never ever treat me like that because we are actually equal. Your man sounds like he thinks it is 1953!!!!

Tie his hands behind his back and see how easily he can do chores.

Take a mini vacation that way he has the entire house to clean on his own.

That's very rude of him, how can he be that senseless, tell him to try to do anything without his two hands and he'll understand, at least I hope so. If not maybe its time to think over your marriage :/

I meant insensitive instead of senseless, my bad.

meh, senseless or insensitive, both make sense in your sentence and he's probably both anyway :/

What a dick. If he wants them done tell HIM to do the chores, and don't forget to demand a sammich.

I'm going to assume this either happened awhile ago or you're using another means of typing, because I would otherwise question how you were able to type it yourself if you were in such excruciating pain...or why you would bother, for that matter. But I do agree with 1! Definitely seems like you need to teach him a lesson and go stay with a friend or family member and let him fend for himself for awhile.

Typing on what is most likely a touch screen phone is not the same as gripping on to a iron or lifting heavy objects... And everyone deserves a damn break, even housewives! With or without a medical reason, he's an ass!

valid point, 22! Should have clarified another means of typing other than a computer keyboard. But yes, it astounds me that there are STILL people who still believe that women are the ones who should be doing all the cleaning
