Today, my landlady cut off the Internet to my flat. She says she has no use for it, and doesn't want to keep it anymore. I have 3 online assignments due in the next week, and finals the following week. FML

Today, my dick of a roommate was moving out. She didn't actually tell us she was moving out and took the wifi, modem and all, while my other roommate was on a Skype call and I was watching a show. All with no warning. It's Saturday, I have an online assignment due Sunday. FML

Today, the Internet wasn't working. One girl decided to try to diagnose the problem. It said to connect the Ethernet cable. She started making fun of the computer for spelling "Internet" wrong. I'm graduating with this idiot in less than a month. FML

Today, my mother found out about the psychology exam I have to take tomorrow. Before leaving for her vacation this morning, she grabbed the internet router and took it with her to "get rid of distractions". I have one day to figure out how to access this online exam without Internet. FML

Today, my laptop is choosing not to work and I can’t afford a new one. If it doesn’t work soon, I can’t get my homework done. I’m only week 3 into an 8 week semester. To top it off, I need to finish unpacking. Did I forget to mention I moved about 3 days before the semester started? FML

Today, my manager asked me for the password to my Internet so she could Skype family since she can't pay her bill. This is the same woman who just a week ago tried to evict me because my rent was an hour late. Trying to be the bigger person, I gave her the password. She changed my password. FML

That sucks but call the provider and put the Internet service in your name. They'll come out the same day or the next day and set up your service. Problem solved.

i wish the OP would clarify - is he riding off her wifi, or is she somehow removing the cable system that the internet rides in on. If the former, get your own internet, or go to any of a thousand free wifi choices to work. if the latter - i think it's illegal for her to do. at least in NY state, they have said that it is ike wanting phone lines in a house and cannot be refused

If internet was part of the agreement then your rent should be including the cost of internet. If so, order internet yourself and pay less of the rent accordingly. If you can't get internet out there soon enough, start looking for a library.
