Today, my mom found a new favorite game. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of a year and still have not been able to find a job (months after graduating college). Due to this stress I cry easily, her game? Seeing how many times a day she can make me boo-hoo. FML

To everyone bitching about how she used the word 'boohoo', that's probably what her mom named the game.

I will say that you should try to cope a bit better and find some things to feel good about... But your mother is a sadistic bitch and could very well be making things worse with her little "game." She should be giving you emotional support and helping you through this, and instead makes you prey for her nastiness. Tell her off, let her know you need support and she's not helping your situation, and hopefully she'll see the light. If not, get any kind of job you can and work at getting the hell away from her. She's no mother, she's a torturer.

You say sadist like it's a bad thing..... then again not even I would do that to my kids....then again if I did, being as bad as I am they'd just return the favor. But seriously shit happens get a shovel.

Maybe if you weren't such a whiny baby, she wouldn't have to get her kicks that way. If you don't respond, it takes all the fun out of it for her. Moral of the story: SUCK IT UP.

Get a spine. They got em at wal-mart for 5.95

not everyone that graduates college is worth hiring.

you graduated college, so presumably you are an adult -- now time to start acting like one.

Actually, work is scarce everywhere. My husband has been out of work for months, and no where, NO WHERE in my town is hiring, not Wal Mart, not seven11, no where. He's been doing under the table day labor building houses and shit. So I can understand the whole, no job thing. But you mom is a meanie. I would never make my kids cry on purpose. Especially as adults.

So after reading most of these comments I'm kinda annoyed. Like solid half of these are people bashing on her for being a "baby" and a "little bitch". But really, it would hard to be sitting on a degree with no where hiring, then having to live with someone who goes out of their way to make you miserable everyday. Just looks like people not really thinking about the stuff their insulting her for.

I've been having the hardest time finding a job too. I hope things start working out for you.

OP, you have my sympathy. Being unemployed gives one too much time to think, which is killer to someone who's going through a breakup. And if your mother can't be supportive of you, the least she could do is leave you alone and not compound your misery. And yes, while I'm sure we can all name people whose situations are worse, that doesn't mean that OP doesn't have real problems. I'm sure she was not implying that her life is the absolute worst in the whole world.

You are doing something wrong if 'jobs are hard to find everywhere' In the last week, I saw at least 6 help wanted signs, and got 1 flier handed to me when the pizza boy made his delivery.
