lol, still can't come out to your mom.
I don't care if it was just a workout, you and your friend telling each other how hard you are while grunting with exertion... Let's just say that people have drawn conclusions from far less. YDI. Also, buck up: Either your Mom has just expressed a truly touching commitment and acceptance of you, however mistaken, or she has a REALLY wicked sense of humor. Either way, life is awesome.
way more accepting then I'll ever be.

Dude you just found out that your mother loves you NO MATTER WHAT. That's a good thing.
Yea, yea, yea... That's what they all say.
You didn't explain this why?
Well, OP, you have a pretty accepting mother and should count yourself lucky, even if you aren't gay. Also, I know it's a little weird to be mistaken for something you're not, but being gay or mistaken for gay isn't really a bad thing. Good on you for having a close friend. :)
I lift every day. I never grunt excessively and I especially never talk about how "hard I am" with my gym buddies. Are you sure you're not covering for something?

at least she didn't give you a hard time about it. wink
I don't think I can even comprehend how embarrassing that would be! Hopefully she believes you...
