Today, my neighbor was having work done in his apartment, and he'd warned me that there might be some noise. Yes, there was, what with all the town's firemen in the building after he'd ruptured the main gas pipe. FML

you shouldn't have to be quiet, i mean dont be rambunctious, but you're there to keep things safe so noise should not be a priority. i still have a feud with my neighbor for filing a noise complaint on the Fire Department when they responded to a house fire down the street last year.
