Today, my new bunny decided she is only going to eat carrots. If I put anything else in her food bowl, she viciously attacks the bowl until all of the food has spilled out. FML

I'm not sure what else you expected when you got a bunny. They like carrots. That's a fact.

Better stock up on carrots then OP. What bunny wants, bunny gets!

I had gerbils like that. They wouldn't eat anything but sunflower seeds. Eventually I picked the sunflower seeds out (because they're very fat for them) and spread the food around the cage. I don't know if their instincts kicked in when they had to work a little for their food but they eat everything else now too. Your bunny will learn to eat it if there's nothing else available. Maybe spread the food out too so she can't attack the bowl and has to work for it? Either way good luck. It kinda sucks when pets are being difficult about food.

Carrots are bad for rabbits! They are too high in sugar when hey need more fiber in their diet and spoiling them with this will cause them to do this and not eat their food. -owner of two spoiled rabbits

Try orchard grass instead of Timothy hay. It's sweeter and softer so rabbits that like fruits and veggies tend to like it more.

I had this problem with a family members parrot once. I was asked to bird sit, gave the little ****** a single slice of the banana I was eating and bam...that was it, all he would eat the entire weekend. Animals have personalities too, just like people do and carrots are pretty healthy (although im no expert and some posters on here say otherwise, so do some research first,) and relatively inexpensive, id say just give the bunny what it wants. Good luck OP. :)

we have a rabbit. and she flips the bowl over and eats from the ground. it might be this it is doing. or does it never eat the food after that?

That's a challenge. But don't give in to it, keep the bowl empty then put in kibbles. If bunny rejects, take out the kibbles, wait a few hours and repeat. Eventually hunger will kick in and so will good sense. Animals are like children, some times they need tough love.

Be careful feeding them veggies too much as they need a balanced diet and are pretty fragike in that sense. It may not like the food you bought it so try a different brand.

Carrots to rabbits are like chocolate bars for humans. So your rabbits all carrot diet can't be good.

At least the Bunny doesn't threaten to kill you with a knife.
