Well, it's not the most dashing sweater, and i know it's an easy mistake to make. No point in getting upset over nothing really. Just felt like the moment belonged on this site, i'm glad the FML got posted, and thank you for all your comments!

Actually 13, I would say the "especially" would be a child, not a parent. Don't get me wrong, both my parents are in their sixties and I am terrified of losing them. But my husband's grandmother has buried at least three of her 8 children in the past ten years. Luckily none being my mother-in-law, but still. It's devastating and never expected.
You should put it in a safer place and if your partner didn't know, maybe is the time to tell them.
How could he know if you never told him. THIS IS FHL.... Men aren't mind readers...
That's rough sorry OP
That's why people should think before they say shit. Sorry for your loss
Seriously, who cares? If it's ugly, it's ugly, and the fact that someone died in it isn't making it any less ugly.
Was your father trampled by a stampede of Fashion Critics?
so he died in it?
I literally would've killed them after stating why I had it.
So if your dad didn't die in it and it was just another sweater you probably would not be offended and write an FML. Double standards much.

Sorry to hear that op,that was harsh but your boyfriend didnt mean to hurt you
Could have been worse. At least your partner didn't say, "I wouldn't be caught dead in this".
