Today, my water broke. I called my mom, who had agreed to watch my other two kids while I went to the hospital. When I asked her to come over, she just said, "Sorry, now isn't a good time." FML

Today, at 2 in the morning, my water broke. I called my mom and woke her up to come watch our older kid, while my husband and I went to the hospital. After being tested at the hospital, I was told I had just peed myself. FML

Today, during my family's traditional fourth of July weekend celebration, my water broke. I kept trying to tell them and asked them to take me to the hospital, but they couldn't hear me over the fireworks. They all just kept smiling and nodding. FML

Today, it's my birthday. I'd asked my mom weeks ago if she could watch my kids, so my husband and I could go celebrate. She told me an hour before we were supposed to leave I'd have to reschedule, so she could watch my brother's kids while he goes out for fun. Gee, thanks mom. FML

Today, my water broke. Due to Covid-19, we couldn't go straight to labor and delivery, so had to go to the emergency room and wait to be taken up. I sat there for an hour with a ruptured sac and contractions. FML

Today, my wife's water broke so I drove her to the hospital. After 16 hours without labor, I went home to get a little sleep. Four hours later I got the call and ran outside to find that my car was towed from my parking space. FML

Today, at over 9 months pregnant, I woke up to a wet bed. Convinced my water broke, I woke up my husband and had him drive me to the hospital at 3am. The nurse told me my water was fine, I had just peed the bed. FML

Today, I went into labor, and my husband wasn't answering his phone. I called my sister to ask her to drive me to the hospital but she said she'd only do it if I paid her $1000. I had to dial 911, and almost gave birth in my bathroom in process. FML

Today, I called my sister and asked if she could watch my baby while I went to the store for desperately needed groceries and supplies. She refused, despite the fact that she's randomly dropped off her three rambunctious boys more times than I could count so she could go clubbing. FML

@55 - That's exactly what I was thinking. If you want to be a part of your grandchildrens lives then she shouldve helped. (Not saying forever) But damn...thats shitty. And @58 - I realize the sarcasm and am noting it for other users before they comment and try to fight. :)

That sucks that she couldn't be bothered to watch your other children. When my sister went into labor, literally everyone in the family was at the hospital, so her 5 year old just stayed with us in the waiting room.

op, I hope your mom wasn't serious. My mom skipped Christmas with our family to get to the birth of my son. I hope your mother was able to put her shopping date on hold for a bit to take care of her grand babies. Congrats BTW!

So stop having kids. Don't you know the ice caps are melting and the orphanges are overflowing and we're running out of food and water and coal and gas and there are starving children in africa and there will be no jobs and you're killing the planet. God, how selfish can people be.
