Hi everyone. OP here. Hopefully I can clear things up for some people. The reason we didn't take "porky" to the animal shelter right away was because the closest one was a three hour drive away. He is there now safe and sound and I went to the doctors and got the other two quills removed. I actually posted this FML while in the Urgent Care waiting room for those of you who were wondering why I would go on here right after all this happening. Well, that's about it. My foot is a bit sore and I have vacuumed the floor 7 times just to be safe. But I'm alright. Thanks for all the support!

I can relate to both of you. I got a toothpick almost completely embedded in my heel once. My husband had to use pliers to pull it out. I also got a sewing needle stuck in my foot right under my toes while I was pregnant. Both were extremely painful experiences. Glad you are okay.
I can relate to the sewing needle. I managed to get one lodged in my foot eye end first...hurts just to think about it.
Sympathy cringe...
Ouch
Cutting the tips of the quills usually helps relieve pressure in them, making them a lot easier to pull out. Hope this helps!
I may sound silly for asking this, haha but what is a Porcupine?
Porcupines are the third-largest rodents in the world, with a coat of sharp quills that protect them from predators. These quills are made of keratin, the same material that makes up antelope horns. Porcupines are native to both the New World, South America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. They can grow up to 120 cm in length and can weigh up to 40 pounds. Finally, male porcupines have a mating process that revolves around urinating at high speed onto females. Hope you learned something!
Must hurt to walk
That sounds more like a hedgehog than a porcupine because you'd definitely be able to notice a porcupine quill.
however, in most cases, porcupines are cute as ****.
What a prickly situation
Keywords
Their quills are barbed. Be careful pulling them out, you could do some serious dmg to your foot.
Sounds like you're in a bit of a prickle
