Today, we got CCTV fitted in our store. My lovely boss told me he'll be spending his free time watching the footage on his phone to know what I get up to when he's not in. FML

Some jobs it is so slow there is nothing to do. You could have the shop straightened and cleaned three times over between customers. If that's the case, then it isn't fair to expect OP to be working non stop for 8 hours when there is nothing to do!
