Today, when I woke up, my dog excitedly came up to me and licked my face. A few minutes later, I find out he had thrown up twice before he licked my face. FML

Today, I woke up approximately half a nanosecond after my dog involuntarily vomited in bed. On my face. I opened my mouth because it literally filled my nose. I swallowed out of reflex before I was fully awake. FML

To be honest I really don't get why a lot of pet owners let their pets lick their faces. It's pretty disgusting to me even if that dog/cat hasn't thrown up or licked their ass/balls etc. before.

My dog does that when she was young, for those that don't understand why dog lick their owner or people , it's clearly you never own a dog. FYI dog mouth is a lot cleaner than you thought

Maybe your dog felt better after vomiting whatever was eaten that upset his stomach? That really sucks that it happened so soon before showing you affection. I don't like dog licks to my face. And we have a cat that does this to me no matter what I do -_- fish perfume.

Well maybe not so nasty at all dogs produce a element in their saliva that humans can't it kills bacteria and cleans their mouth making their mouth pretty much clean most of the time.
