Today, while at the waterpark, some guy came up to me and profusely thanked me for wearing a one-piece swimsuit. FML

Maybe he really liked the pattern on your suit.

Bikinis are the swim wear of the devil!!!

You know, maybe he was genuinely complimenting your good sense? A one piece is more practical at a waterpark as opposed to a pool. You're there for something more than lounging around, right?

Thank you atleast your not "that girl" I would rather be thanked for wearing approiate clothes over being "her"

Bikinis are signs of confidence because the girl is able to feel comfortable in her skin, but is also a sign of MAJOR insecurity as where the girl has nothing to offer but sexual arousings so at least your not considered insecure

I think one piece swimsuits are more sexy than bikinis. Congratulations!

That guy can go **** himself, OP; he was being a rude asshole, no matter how he meant that comment. You're gorgeous just the way you are, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! As a sidenote, I'm noticing a lot of "Well, maybe he appreciates a modest woman!" comments. Unsurprisingly, no one has commented saying that men who wear shirts to the pool are more respectable and modest. Golly gee, I wonder why that is... (sarcasm)

Well believe it or not, there are people out there who appreciate modesty. Different opinions or tastes don't make anyone wrong or right. Don't hate on comments trying to look for a silver lining or a viable, alternative explanation. The answer to your comment is a simple one. Until people start sexualizing and idolizing male breasts, no one is going to equate a shirt with male modesty at a water park. Feel free to start that trend if you feel so strongly about it.

sense he felt the need to be honest...I would ask him what he meant EXACTLY in as nice a tone as I could. my mother and father gave n e some very wise advice when I was young and started making friends...." if you can't say something nice to someone, don't say anything.!" So; I find it hard to believe a gentleman would mean it negatively. And , if he DID explain himself and it was a rude explanation... look him in the eye, smile, and thank him for his gentlemanly behavior and kind words, turn and walk away.

Believe it or not, you might have made his day.
