Today, while I was substitute teaching a middle school class, a boy, named Chris, refused to get in the boy's line for the bathroom. After I had said, "Chris, what makes you think you're a girl?" in a very loud voice, one of the other students said "She is a girl." I've scarred a child for life. FML

I have to say. As I was skimming through these comments, some of you really frustrate me. How can you say it's a parent's fault for a child to not be recognized by their gender? First off, I'd be glad if my parents let me express myself like that in middle school. I dress like a guy and prefer for people to think I am one. I think it's people's choice to decide what they want to dress/look like at whatever age. It's good to have open parents. And, one other thing. Saying that to a child is harsh even if you are unsure about his/her gender. People just need to watch what they say before saying it.

You're an asshole. That happened to me once, but then I hit puberty and became a model so that was my revenge.

You can't specify genders by names anymore, pay attention to what the kids look like.
