you gotta think, c'mon...you're putting a lock on a door. especially on a door that leads to nowhere (like a closet door/bathroom door), if you're going to test it, make sure you're on the side necessary for unlocking it as well as locking it.

Deadbolts go on the closet so you can lock people in there, obviously. The OP was testing to see how hard it would be to get out once you're locked in. This is why professionals lock their victims in a cellar, or something, with a padlock. Much easier that way, believe me.
