She's explained it twice now, and still people ask the same stupid questions. Amazing! Still, YDI totally. Also, using the word deadbolt instead of doorknob made the story lose all sense, so fail.

#67, let's look at the type of doorknob we're looking at: If I understand you correctly, it's the same type that is commonly found on bathroom doors, with a switch on the inside, which locks the knob automatically when you close the door. Assuming that you were trying to keep the door locked from the outside, you would have this switch on the INSIDE of the door, thus inside the closet where you were. 20 minutes isn't that long to be trapped for your own stupidity. Next time you do this, stick the tip of a metal coat hanger in the little hole in the knob. I remember when people used to put effort into making these up.
