fail. you can't lock yourself in like that. one side has a key [which is usually on the outside so you can lock it from there]. && the other side has that little lever thing on it [so you can open it from the inside]. if you used a doorKNOB, you still fail. the outside would have the lever for the lock, thus locking yourself in. the other side would have a little hole where you can pick the lock through in situations like this. [get a hanger && pick the lock]. unless you used a knob that doesn't have the little hole on it. if that's what you used then, you just plain fail at life. =] using the wrong word can totally kill an FML like this one. i can see it happen, but next time, use the right words.

Dipshits, read the other OP posts -Clarified that he meant door knob, with a key -didnt acutally have the knobs on yets just the mechanism which i know you cant pull out with out something the right sizes to stick in and turn ive installed many doorknobs and it is possible to do this

you hide a dead body in there? DEADBOLT + CLOSET = Uh oh.

in a sence you could have a closet door where you install the deadbolt from the side... so you wouldnt have access to the screws or any method to open it with the drill/screwdriver. There are also deadbolts that can only be opened with a key, and dont have a lever side. But.... if a thief breaks through your front door, this wont do anything... if you have guns in the closet get a gun safe, your curious kids could lock themselves in like you just did. If you were hiding your lucky charms from persistant kids... all is understandable. but a little LSD next time
