Toxic workplace goals!

Today, I walked out of a job interview feeling confident because I'd really hit it off with the interviewer. He called me an hour later to tell me that I didn't get the job, since he was afraid we'd "get along too well and never get any work done." FML

I would have gone back and slapped him across the face and said we aren't friends and that I want the damn job.

Oh gosh, this goes up there with "you're too experienced."

You took the words right outta my mouth. That bitch!

Don't forget to challenge him to a duel as well .

Pretty sure if you smacked the interviewer once again you would be left without the job

36 - Well I guess OP has nothing to lose then.

It doesn't always pay to be a kiss ass

Kissing ass and having a good conversation with someone are two completely different things.

I believe the real reward is the all-access pass to the wonderland portal that they hide in the bathroom sink.

Tell him you don't mix business with pleasure! Solved.

Easier said than done - not everything is black and white - probably more like 50 shades of grey.

a bit kinky for work... where did you work at again?...

Oh gosh, this goes up there with "you're too experienced."

Man.. It really IS hard to find a job with all these kinds of FMLs popping up

These days you can't win. You're not qualified, you're overqualified; we don't get along, we get along too well... Ridiculous

Relationships and coworkers.. You can't win. You hate each other and you lose the Job. You like each other and you still lost the job. Good luck op!

"Hey! I'm sorry but I think we're better off as a friend ... " it's like OP asked the interviewer out. No? Okay.

I'm not sure what level of friendzone this is, but I really sympathise for the OP.

Tell him that unlike some people, you've got self control.
