Today, while waiting in line at Gamestop, another customer and the cashier started chatting about how Pokémon is for kids, and anyone over 10 who's into it is weird. Embarrassed, I put the new Pokémon game back on the shelf and snuck out of the store. FML

Today, I babysat a 10-year-old and we played Pokémon. It was my first time playing, so he showed me. I ended up winning and the kid started crying and told his parents he hated me. They decided not to pay me for the night, and now I'm out of a job. FML

Today, at work, my buddy pulled up in his car. I handed him $40, and he handed me a bag. It must have looked like a drug deal, but he was actually just smuggling in the new Pokémon game for me. I'm 22, and a drug deal would probably have been less embarrassing to explain. FML

Today, I was at a gas station when the cash register made a sound effect similar to one from Sonic the Hedgehog, and I pointed this out. The cashier then saw fit to go on a rant about how I need to stop focusing on video games, and get a life and a girlfriend. FML

Today, I bought How To Train Your Dragon and the cashier started complaining how her kids keep demanding dragon stuff and that mine will start after they see the movie. I don't have any kids, and I didn't have the courage to tell her I was buying it for myself. FML

Today, working my job, I had to explain to a kid that Pokemon is owned by Nintendo and they don't make it for the Xbox. Upset by this, he took hold of my leg and started biting. I'm also suspended, because his mother complained when I kicked him off me. FML

Today, I was out shopping with my son and unbeknownst to me, he had secretly added a bunch of expensive games he wanted to the trolley. I was too embarrassed at the till to make a fuss as there was a huge line behind me. I watched as my normal £50 shopping bill climbed to over £400. FML

there is nothing wrong with being a fan ok pokemon, almost all my high school likes it, a year of 2 ago there was a pokemon club even. and im still playin pokemon red/fire (which ever has charizard on it) on my gameboy advance

I would have said "anyone who thinks it's for kids is a moron and probably only plays call of duty". Seriously report him. I am a manager at Gamestop and I would NOT tolerate that shit. ******* holiday help thinking they know everything... I just want to say we aren't all like that.

You understand. I'm one of those people who plays "weird" games. Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Dead Space, Bioshock, American Mcgee's Alice, and I'm personally waiting for HL3. I really don't see the fun in being screamed at by teenagers on CoD or Halo.
