Today, I was out selling Christmas-themed calendars for charity door-to-door. I rang a doorbell and a wild-eyed man appeared at the door, shouted about being "on nights" and that I'd woken him up, called me a "bell end", threw a newspaper at me and slammed the door in my face. FML

IMHO charities should stick to public areas or sending mail that can be handled at the donor's leisure. Anyone bothering someone at their place of residence deserves a door in their face.

You put "on nights" in quotes as if you don't know the many people that work the night shift and have to sleep during the day exist... F his life for being woken up just for a calendar. It ain't easy to fall asleep in daylight. The price you have to pay for selling door-to-door in this modern age.
