Advent calendar time!

Today, I was out selling Christmas-themed calendars for charity door-to-door. I rang a doorbell and a wild-eyed man appeared at the door, shouted about being "on nights" and that I'd woken him up, called me a "bell end", threw a newspaper at me and slammed the door in my face. FML

Sorry, you take a chance going to people's doors. Try going to a business and asking if you can sell them there.

wow it is amazing we posted saying almost the same thing and i got thumbed down and you got thumbed up. how is that. i am glad you got thumbed up though. it would take 911 like at least thirty minutes to get to my house. dang skippy i will pull a gun on someone invading my house going to hurt me or esp hurt my kids.

YDI. No one wants strangers coming to their door to sell them shit, no matter what the cause. It's disruptive and invasive. If you want to inform people of a charity, leave a flyer. If you want to sell something, get a booth somewhere, ask people on the street or in a mall, make a website -- just do it anywhere but in our homes.
