Today, my girlfriend went on a date with her mechanic. She said it was to get discounts when she goes in for maintenance. Not only does she not see a problem with it, but she's probably getting discounts on other services too. FML

Today, I was on a first date with this girl I've been talking to. I met her and she came with me so I could park my car in the student lot. On the way back, I saw a beat up car with its window duct taped up and exclaimed "Haha! Look at that piece of junk." It was her car. FML

Today, I told my wife to not drive our car as it has a steering problem and is starting to shake. I got home from work to see it had a flat tire, and asked her if she went anywhere. She'd thought I was exaggerating and went out for coffee. I've been a mechanic for 7 years. FML

Today, I was at lunch with my girlfriend. The waitress came up and asked for her number, then asked if she had a significant other. I laughed as my girlfriend gave the waitress her number. They're going on a date, tonight. FML

Today, I bought my girlfriend two tickets to a Broadway show that was coming through town she really wanted to see. I couldn't attend with her due to work so she said she would take her mom. I found out later she took her ex. Now they're back together, and I paid for the date that made it happen. FML

Today, I had to take my horribly misogynistic grandad to get his car repaired. After it was done, he realised the repair had been done by a female mechanic, so he refused to pay or leave until a “proper mechanic” checked over his car to make sure she hadn’t fucked it up. FML

Oh well. Tell her that you get discounts for just being an awesome person. Also... if he is giving her discounts just for dating her... and he doesn't own his own shop... than he's just hurting the business and himself, he'll regret it one day. Let karma take care of him. I'm a licensed mechanic... and I know that it's a really bad idea to give out "random" discounts. It really hurts the business, because you lose profit and stuff.. and if the business goes downhill b/c of "random" discounts, it cuts wages and the business could close at one point or another.

why don't you learn the facts... it's what happens... there's no way of denying it, I've seen it up front with close friends. We are all emotional... some people are just more up front about it. Yet some take it too far... so how are we the dumb ***** when you aren't knowing the reality of it all.
