Today, a potential customer was looking at a treadmill at the fitness warehouse I work at. Once he was done testing it out, I asked him if he'd like me to order it for him. His reply? "Nah. I only had a go on it 'cause it looked like fun. Hey, but you could order one for yourself, huh, chubs?" FML

You can't win them all op but that guy is an ass.

Ask him to stand on the treadmill, then turn on treadmill and watch him fly. Y'know, 'cause flying is fun too.

What a jerk...hope you make a sale to make up for it

You work at a fitness warehouse yet you're unfit? YDI.

Do you work as a proctologist? Cuz you're an asshole

There is a difference between being overweight and being unfit. Skinny people can be unfit. You are just an idiot.

So he's an asshole for stating the truth?

No, he's an asshole for assuming it's the truth. Does he know the OP? People say insults that are irrelevant to people all the time. He assumed so he made an ass out of himself and me. Somehow I'm okay with being an ass

I can't believe people like that exist! If you don't have anything nice to stay don't say anything at all! Sorry op! You were just doing your job

Every time I log on FML I start to really really super duper really hate customer service.

You can fix that. Being a jerk is forever and just gets you punched.

Sorry to be harsh, but if you're "chubby" you shouldn't work at a fitness center. "Chubby" isn't fit at all. I'd rather go to a store whose employees promote their products properly.

He said he worked at a fitness warehouse, not a gym. He sells the equipment itself, not gym memberships. Maybe you should read carefully before you make judgmental comments.

Hey maybe he's not "chubby" and the guy was just a judgmental prick.

Make a big deal of telling him that it is "store policy" not to allow customers "of his weight" to try the machines if they aren't willing to buy because they might break the machine.
