Believer

Today, I told my roommate that I was an atheist and she laughed. I left and returned to find her and her prayer group praying for my soul. She told me to accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. I said no. Then she told me to find somewhere else to live. FML

Why would you want to live with someone like that anyways? Being religious is OK, but forcing it on others is obnoxious.

that's awful and not loving. remind her Jesus hung out with 'sinners'. also does she have the right to kick you out? does she own the house or something because if not, she should be the one to leave and you don't have to back down to her

There’s gotta be some kind of thing against this in your contract or whatever right?

This is one of the many reasons why I left my religion is so dogmatic and cult based that you brain is enslaved to its bullshit teachings

Unless she owns the place or is subletting to you, tell her SHE will need to find a new place to live. It’s not you that is bothered by this.

**** that. If she has such a problem with you not wanting to be in her cult SHE can move out.

What is this, the Spanish Inquisition, 21st Century Style? If you're on the lease or you have a lease, she can't kick you out. That said, it might be preferable to living with a judgmental snotbag like her.

this is why I don't talk about my religious beliefs.

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. Lev 19:18

That’s only as far as any religion has ever gone in freedom of speech and thought.

it's a conflict of interest and discrimination, she had no right to do what she did
