Blast from the past

By fat_thighs - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I read a PostSecret that said, "I'm afraid my thighs will start to touch soon." My thighs have always touched. I didn't even know thighs weren't supposed to touch. FML

this isn't so bad really. your thighs touching doesn't mean you're fat or anything.

I bet her thighs never touched cause there's always a guy in between them!

there's a common saying that if your thighs touch it officially means you're fat. you haven't heard that before? lol oh well it's just a saying, who cares.

Your thighs are SUPPOSED to touch. It's creepy and weird if they don't unless you're an extremely petite person. Don't freak yourself out over it. I just lost like 15 pounds and am a size 5 and STILL my thighs touch. I'm not worried about it.

Thighs that touch are so gross. They rub on each other leaving dead skin cells behind leaving a darker region of skin. My girlfriend is skinny and has nice long toned legs. Her thighs do not touch. Only girls with fat gross legs have thighs that touch. If you a size 5 your fat especially if you lost 15 pounds and your still a size too big

my thighs have never touched IF THEY DO YOU'RE FAT

Okay. So, thigh's touching if FINE. Thigh's not touching is FINE. Personally, mine touch when I'm sitting and they don't when I stand. No big deal. I would like to point out to all the 'just because I'm skinny, doesn't mean I'm anorexic!' people. While you may not be anorexic, you are still classified as underweight. Not matter how healthy you are. One of my best friends is crazy healthy and eats a ton but never gains weight. Despite her health, she is still technically classified as underweight.

i feel like this whole obsession with being "too thin" is the american way of taking the focus off of obesity, which is the real problem in the US just so you know it is just as unhealthy (if not more) to be too fat than to be too thin

Mine don't touch (unless I'm sitting). But I wish they would - I hate how (naturally) thin I am. Don't worry about it :]

@241 Why would your doctors want you to gain weight if you're 5'1 and 115 pounds. That's not close to underweight, that's a normal, healthy weight.

@#251 It's safe to assume you don't know anything about the human body or about health. Good job on making yourself look stupid. (;

I'm underweight, [not on purpose] and my thighs touch. It's NOT a bad thing. I agree with whoever said only anorexic people don't want their thighs to touch.
