Today, while watching The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh with my 5 year-old, I realized why the kangaroo's name is Kanga, and why her son's name is Roo. Kanga-Roo. Get it? Yeah. I didn't until today. I'm 47. FML

Today, at work, I was discussing animated movies with a male senior who's got kids. I was trying to refer to Zootopia but couldn't remember the name. I went, "Zoo, zoo... filia?" Silence. It wasn't until I got home an hour later that I realized what I said. FML

Today, while on a road trip through Australia with my dad, we were both complaining that we had yet to see any kangaroos. Suddenly, we saw one up real close. The rental car saw it even closer. FML

Today, in an incredibly busy shopping center bathroom with my 5 year-old niece, I was squatting over the toilet seat to avoid germs. My niece then says at the top of her voice, "Auntie, why are you sitting like a kangaroo?" I'd say the whole room pissed their pants laughing. FML

Today, I took my daughter on her first visit to the zoo. While we were watching the lemurs, some kid thought it would be funny to start shouting "MONKEY CUNTS" at them at the top of his voice. Now my daughter refuses to stop repeating the same phrase. FML

Woahh. I only knew Roo's name xD I had nooo idea that his moms name was Kanga..... But yeah. I coulda figured that out if I watched Winnie-The-Pooh frequently. I almost never see pooh on TV anymore D; Hahah thats kinda sad, Im 16 and I want to watch Winnie-The-Pooh.....

Same thing happened to me. I mean, I'm not your age, I'm younger, but still. I watched Winnie The Pooh all the time when I was a kid, and never got it until last year.

I agree with poster 134. This isn't an FML...Seriously, some of these FMLs are pretty pathetic. Not every silly thing that happens to you is an FML. No one really cares if you've discovered the meaning of Kanga and Roo.
