Brokeass Mountain

By collegebroke - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - United States - Lakewood

Today, I hit a new low in my financial troubles when I left my work to retrieve twenty-five cents after seeing someone drop it across the street. FML

How did you recognize 25 cents from all the way across the street?

Have you thought about talking to your boss about a raise or something? If you explain what's happening, I'm sure he/she would understand.

"Hey boss, I'm low on money. Can you give me some more?" "Why certainly, my friend! We have extra reserves in case this were to ever happen to someone."

I once blew a guy in a truckstop for 10 dollars to be able to buy some lunch. I feel OP's pain.

What kind of job do you have to begin with? Damn, that's horrible.

nonsense even pennies add up,,I pick them up of the floor then it's coin star

i read an article about 2-3 years ago where on average Americans in total threw away $4 million in pennies every year. I cant source it because i forgot where i read it

Even pennies do add up! I have a friend that keeps all his loose change in a jar. (Expect quarters (those are for the laundry mat)). He then counts it up and plans his family's vacation based on how much is saved. Last vacation was four day at Disney's World.(:

One of my buddies was on a roller coaster once and when it finished and we unloaded, he ran under the seats to collect pennies people dropped. Being broke sucks...

Now you have just enough to buy that nice tuna fish sandwich out of the slot machine that you've been admiring all this time.

OP that's nothing to be ashamed of change has a tendency to add up and any little bit helps.

try asking for a raise after explaining your financial problems
