Bumpy ride

By jojolee68 - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I'm stuck in a taxi cab while the driver listens to a radio show about sex fetishes. Can't wait to look him in the eye as I pay him. FML

Hopefully, he wasn't expecting a tip. From you, anyway

I don't know about everyone else... but me personally I would have asked him to change the station or turn it off.

Just look him in the eye and whisper "this is not okay."

That's actually a violation of your rights as a passenger. Among other things the car must be free of smoke/scents, have heat/ac available on request, and be free of radio noise unless you ask for it.

That's pretty creepy but maybe he doesn't even notice since he has the radio on all the time it maybe at that point it was just noise on the radio.... Super awkward noise XD still maybe he should have kept it on the oldies station

If it makes you uncomfortable speak up!

I wonder how many other things you've had to suffer through because you didn't SPEAK UP!

Hmm. The cabbie did something you considered bad, something that shouldn't be done. And as a means of letting him know you are displeased, you are going to . . . look at him?? Oooo, scathing. WTH? Where is your big people voice? Why can't you open your mouth and use your words to say, "I'm sorry, I don't want to listen to the radio, could you please turn it off?" Problem avoided and no need to . . . look. There is a huge problem here but it has nothing to do with the cab driver.

I interpreted that bit as being sarcastic, as in she'd feel a bit awkward looking him in the eye after all that. Looking him in the eye as punishment doesn't make sense!

just look him in years eye and say "just the tip". see if he figures out the reference.

He could have listened to them alone..so unprofessional

Maybe he thought it was interesting. I would have thought that and I would have listened with him.

He takes personal factor a bit too far it seems
