Today, my boyfriend has severe dog phobia, and a dog off its lead ran up to him in a car park. He panicked and tried to jump into the car, but the door hit it in the head and it started fitting and seizing. About three people called the police and the dog's owner broke our car window. FML

Honestly sounds like the dog owner should be fined for having the dog off it’s leash running after people. And pay for the broken window. But those dog lovers will attack people for saying less than that even.

They called the police on the dog owner, right? You don't have to have cynophobia (fear of dogs, you're welcome) to be startled when a strange dog runs up to you. The owners are responsible for controlling their dogs and avoiding such situations.

As a former dog owner, I agree. Many cities have leash laws. I legally threatened to shoot a neighbors pit bull because with no collar or harness, it rushed onto my property and after my wife. Authorities said since it charged my wife and was on my property, it would have been legal. I even drew the gun but never fired. I got the point across without having to injure or kill the dog, but the neighbor got the point. I like dogs, but uncontrolled, overly strong breeds can be dangerous when nothing controls them nor has the ability to limit it. I don’t take shooting animals lightly and exercised restraint. My wife is severely afraid of dogs after being attacked by one when you. It’s why we have cats, and because of the neighbors, all our catsare indoor cats (with claws, i’ll never declaw them)
