to me there seems an obvious underlying other side of story. 1. it is likely some sort of aspect of your behaviour caused the officer to pull you over in the first place 2. the manner you reached into your glove compartment was probably not calm, slow or seemed suspicious. you have been impolite or showed other hostile intent (I doubt you looked like Tracey innocent smiley housewife regardless. 3. GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE unexpectedly when not asked to do so
