Today, my sister came to stay with me in my apartment for the last few weeks of her difficult pregnancy. However she didn't tell me she was bringing her two dogs, her jackass of a husband, my bratty nephew, and an inflatable kiddie pool so she could have a natural water birth in my living room. FML

We've all heard of Bridezillas but I didn't know there were Birthzillas.

I thought the point of going to a family member's house for the last few weeks of a pregnancy was to get away from the stresses in the expectant mother's life, not to bring them with her.

I assume she moved in because she wanted someone to take care of her at the end of the pregnancy, though that logic is now gone. Family gets crazy. Not just OP and her sister, but we have no idea what happened with the pregnant lady and her husband. Perhaps he demanded to come with, thus facilitating the need to bring the whole lot, and the sister is just too tired/pregnant to deal with it. Or, perhaps their house is being fogged for pests. Just set a lot of house rules, for everyone. Best case, the husband and nephew get tired of going to bed at 9, and go home.

Ew. Absolutely not. Family or not, hell no. I would kick all of their asses to the curb before they settle in. No way.

Most apartments prohibit dogs without a pet deposit and definitely pools in the house(most prohibit water bed too due to the water damage they can cause if they burst). Why can't her husband take care of her at home? If she had a difficult pregnancy, she probably should be under medical care while giving birth.

birth is a beautiful thing and water birth is no different. yes she showhave given you a heads up but at the same time water births can make things go so much smoother.

This is why I live in South Dakota (my family lives in Ohio). Too far away for my brother and his family to drop by.

Depends on how long the group wants to stay after the event, and does she do this with other members of your family?
