If it were me, I'd tell them what happened, and then tell them to find another dog sitter.
I have to go with ydi on this one. You can generally tell when dog is going to charge at you for one. Then for two you should ALWAYS tell the dog to sit and stay while getting delivery. Even if it's the most well behaved dog there is, dogs get excited about doorbells and food. So tell them to sit and stay or put them in another room until you have your plate ready and the rest up where the dog can't reach if. Sorry, but there's lots of ways to keep dogs of any size to not jump/tackle you. Anyone who knows a thing or two about dogs should at least know "sit and stay" in those situations.
