Today, we got our yearbooks for school. I opened to my profile to see that they misspelled my first name which is James. They wrote Lames. FML

The yearbook editors are supposed to triple check the names to prevent that kind of stuff. sorry you were the subject of their carelessness/incompetence.

Yeah, in my yearbook last year, one kid had his picture and name in there twice, right next to each other. It happens. But it really could be worse. On my green card, it says my gender is male, when I am most definitely female. That causes a little bit of trouble me when I try to go to Canada to visit family.

They should`ve called you Lord British, because only british people in taxidos are called James. It`s a cool name tho.

i just don't understand why you'd immediately go and check to see if they spelled your first name right. that's weird.

I don't think that's what he was doing. he was just going to see himself in the yearbook and noticed that they spelled his name wrong. but wow. it is pretty unlikely that they just typoed his name. someone on the yearbook staff must not like him or something. fyl.

This is why we don't have stupid pointless things like yearbooks in England, they cause problems like this...Oh, and being British, I know plenty of people called James, and yet I've never seen any of them in a tuxedo.
