I could never be in an open relationship. The very idea of someone else touching my girlfriend well makes me mad. But I do acknowledge that for many people this is okay and that is their right. But, in terms of you OP, your boyfriend is being completely unfair and you should drop him and find someone who will respect you.

Out of curiosity, what if your partner in the open relationship contracts a disease or gets pregnant, and you're not the father? Would your partner raise a child that isn't his with you? Would you be worth sharing a disease over?
