You should have stopped swimming when you started feeling sick. And if your coach didn't believe you, you should have climbed out and puked all over him to prove your point.
And as for the rest of you who are bragging about how much farther than the op you can swim, lay off. You don't know the exact circumstances she might have been in and besides, our bodies all react differently to certain situations etc etc so stop being narcissistic ego-maniacs and give the op some respect for at least trying to swim the 400
you threw up after a 400? get in shape dude
This happened to someone I swim with and my coach didn't tell her not to come back... And if u were feeling sick u prob should've stopped...
Oh I'm so sorry. I know how it feels to swim so much and feel sick. But on the bright side swim practice ended early.
We do like 4 or 5 400s for warm up! Someone needs to admit that they are no good at swimming!

Hmmm.....I can't really tell who's at fault here. Sure, the darling felt sick, but if the coach wouldn't let them stop....hmmm.... this is one where I just cannot vote on it without more details.
Back in my day the warm ups were over 9000! And that was upstream both ways including a 40 foot waterfall in -30 degree weather. Let me tell you, you young people have it easy! I'd like to see you swimming through a layer of ice. I'll not even mention fighting off the piranha and crocodiles!
