Today, I learned I was adopted and that my parents had died in a car accident when I was really young. My girlfriend was sitting next to me when I got the news, and several hours later broke up with me in a text stating, "I don't want to be with someone who doesn't have real parents." FML

I wouldn't be too sure that you're parents died in a car accident. They were probably teenagers. Do you have a sister who's like, fifteen years older than you?

You do have real parents. You just do not share certain qualities with them. But I have seen plenty of adopted children who are just like their parents because of being raised by those people. So you are better off without that idiot. They do not have to biologically be your parents to be them. They just have to be there for you, love you, and sometimes make you hate them. =^~^=
