The perfect image of present day refusal to acknowledge context and history. A shame. I would have killed my brother if he did this with our books (but he would never, as he appreciate old books just like we do - and he has the intellect to realize some of the books we have is actually written by women)
Probably hundreds of thousands if they were in good condition. Are you sure there weren't any Jane Austen, Emily Dickinson or Brontë sisters' books in there? Surely, she couldn't object to the writings of dead, white women.
I hope your family makes her pay reparations for the rest of her life.
