Fault

Today, I went to a family counseling session because my parents are getting a divorce. I told the counselor that I feel guilty because I feel like I caused it. She says that there is no way I could have caused it, that it's my parents' problem when my mom interrupts her to say, "Yes she did." FML

I've heard of this happening sometimes when the wife becomes jealous of the attention that the father pays to the daughter.

I do not agree with that. No matter what anything you did, it is your parents responsibility to work through it, not get divorced. And yes my parents are divorced so I had to do family councling too.

I don't remember the actual statistic but something like 12% of females and 8% of males blame their failed relationship on their children. Don't feel too bad, you're about 1 in 10 give or take

Even if you did do something but i doubt you did, if two people can't hold a relationship together despite another person it wasn't a healthy relationship to begin with. You can't let other people interfere in your relationship.

What the **** did you do, it's your parents that are married, right? So they have to fix their relationship or get a divorce, that is so not your fault whatsofuckingever! Poorest OP, Your Life Truely Sucks... :(
