Today, my three-year-old nephew chose to jump out of a window and break his arm rather than be babysat by me. FML

How the did three year old manage that? I'm 20 and I still can't figure out how to open a damned window.

I hate to break it to you OP, but he probably doesn't like you.

Maybe you should choose a different career path...

No need to be sassy, just saying maybe babysitting is not for her.

You sound more sassy than #21 does.

kids can do strange things.when i was a kid i somehow managed to unlock a door,go outside and fall down the stairs in my baby walker when my mum wasn't looking

Well, damn. If you were thinking of quitting your day job to pursue a career in babysitting... don't.

The " terrible twos" are lasting a bit longer with this one.

Anyone that believes the twos are terrible clearly doesn't have a child over two, that third year is insane!

I'm hearing Tom Petty "free Fallin'" as I picture him flying out the window lol

You should try engaging the child when your spending time with him/her. Play a game, do a puzzle, teach him how to kick a ball, go for a walk ...etc. Become relatable to the child and give him/her some 1 on 1 attention . The kid will love you!

It's good to know your nips are frosty, Timmy.

time to take babysitting to another level

Part of babysitting is watching the kid... Part if not all.. Sorry to break it to you, but u can't blame a kid for being a kid, you should blame your inattention that led to him breaking an arm. Hope the parents were more understanding than I was ...
