My Mom says that when she was going into labor with me and Dad was there, he passed out and fell on the floor (I was their first born). Mom was not happy that the doctor and nurses seemed more concerned about Dad at that moment than her. Dad always had heart related issues, though they did not keep him from a full life. I do not remember my Dad changing that many diapers (I am the oldest). But my Dad was a terrific father especially when the children were a little older. Not everyone is going to respond well to unpleasant odors or messes. But parents can still have equally important roles even if one is not so good with some aspects of parenting. That’s part of why it really helps having two parents - Real people are not identical in strengths and weaknesses. The smart thing is to find ways that share the joys and labors of parenting. And finally, thank goodness for disposable diapers and that the diaper stage is relatively short! (And yes, I know that you still have to clean that dirty bottom before putting on the fresh diaper.)
That's one way of getting out of diaper-changing. I wish I had read this before my kid was born -- it's a genius move!

I think it's too soon after childbirth to do this kind of jumping to conclusions.
