You just did
This is pretty public knowledge do not admit to being a gamer girl especially in an online match. How did you not know this was a bad idea by now? Even if you are young this is pretty well known lots of man-children online and a lot of creepy guys in high school or college. Don't give out personal info online is pretty well known.
Yeaaaaahhhhh don't ever admit you are a single woman in the world of online video gaming. At least its a learning experience for you. If i ever do use my microphone in an online match i just play off the disgusting, rude jokes and just never say if i'm single or not and if they push it i say i have a boyfriend even if i don't. Some people are just weird, you just gotta be careful who you give information out to. Some advice for you as well: Some people on the internet may act nice to begin with to gain your trust and then the tables can be turned. Just be careful and don't get too comfortable and trusting. And as others have said, after gaming for only 2 weeks, don't start calling yourself a gamer girl. You propagate the negative connotations to do with that phrase and it just makes you look silly as well. Being a girl who games is great :) but if you're going to be a gamer, just call yourself a gamer :)
I normally just say that I'm a 13 year old boy :) that works too.
I normally get mistaken for a 13 year old boy to start with, i just find it more amusing sometimes to let them know i'm a woman and laugh at them for not knowing the difference. Some people are actually pretty cool, others are not and i like messing with them in such cases :P And if she has been playing offline games for longer, good for her! But still calling yourself a gamergirl just sounds so bad. I only call myself such when i'm saying it ironically. All my friends just jokingly insist that girls don't exist on the internet at this point :P
You know how you asked me to remind you not to talk about your love life online? Well, you just talked about your love life online. Stop doing that! You’re welcome.
theres alot of desperate ***** out there thatll harass you in online games if they find out your female, you can always block them. Never give out your real information-ie steam accounts change settings to private. and for voice chatting if its a problem in some games you can alwaysd mask your voice with a program like voxal dont be discouraged, game hard, get good and let em know their getting their asses kicked by a girl :D my gamertag probably doesnt help me tho
Because you need help.
Wait till you get your avatar head photo shopped to a naked **** model and it some how gets mailed to your house, even when you don’t tell them what country you are from, let a lone what state or town you are from, that’s when it goes from ‘normal creepy virgin stalker’ to the next level. I have been a female online gamer for over 15 years, yes **** your life.

You do realise she might have been playing offline games for the past 40 years right??
