Today, after a great night of sexual ecstacy, I ran to answer the door. The angry woman standing there introduced herself. ''Hi, I'm your neighbor. My seven year-old son's bedroom is just next to yours and when you scream at night, he gets scared. Do you think you could keep it down?'' FML
I agree, your life sucks 48 384

That happened to me last year with my neighbours, every morning and every night at the weekends. I was in the position of the seven year's boy... People should remember they are not alone in the building.

@47: While I am inclined to agree with you that some people are just loud and inclined to vocalize their pleasure... the idea that an ****** = loss of control strikes me as a bit lop-sided. The sentiment behind "if you've ever had" is just straight up condescension; basing the authenticity/accuracy of someone's opinion about a thing on your *own* standard and experience with what occurs(or has). Now, I sure as sh!t won't split the hairs on the "ahhh" moment that occurs naturally with an ******. It most -definitely- happens. But to say it's impossible to have self-control during an ******, would mean that every time we do we're also pissing, defecating, and every other other act that comes with a leaky body citing numerous orifices that require muscle control. It's sweet surrender, and not system override.

It was so great yet you ran from the bed to get the door the next morning??

Tell her to STFU or switch rooms with her son. That's your house, YOU bought it, so YOU should be able to do whatever the hell you want there.

These are just issues that people have to deal with when you live in an apartment complex. Walls are sometimes paper thin and you can hear everything going on. If people don't want to deal with or can't handle the noise then they should think about renting a home or a buy a house.

because that's so ******* easy to do

I agree #98. Hearing your neighbors is life in an apartment.

being quiet and courteous to your neighbors is also part of apartment life. it's a two-way street. if you want to be loud, buy a house where you can be as loud as you want.

what sucks the most is now every time your in your room having a jolly old time quickly you think back to that angry mom and her screaming kid NO MORE FUN TIME FOR YOU! You can kiss jolly goodbye unless you start to develop a thing for hotels.

The OP should most definitely learn to be quieter. If someone had complained directly to them about noise, it doesn't matter if it's loud music, tap dancing, or arguing. Just because the noise complaint is about sex does not mean that it requires less action (or no action at all). As far as I'm concerned, anyone who screams at night within earshot of anyone not partaking in your activity is being extremely rude. The FML in a nutshell: "I was loud at night and someone complained! My life sucks!" Learn to control your sexual urges and have sex in appropriate places at appropriate times.

I don't think it's an FML because she was told to be quiet, I think it's an FML because thats embaressing!

They did it in their room at night. What would you call an appropriate time and place?!?!

Look, I know how to keep quiet. In college dorms you should only copulate when no one is in the suite, for the walls are very thin and it's easy for the sound to go through them. The solution? Temporary abstinence. Oh the horror.

They should. It would make life great. :-P

@145 I'm not saying that people should life life the way those in dorms do. I'm saying that thin walls require people to be more careful about their noise level.

it's better than her telling you he watched the whole thing.

YDI. Neighbors like you are the worst. Way to be an inconsiderate asshole.

Well if he didn't know that his neighbor could hear, that hardly makes him inconsiderate. The bitchy neighbor could have confronted him nicely for the first time, just to let him know.
